ending the war on drugs

Carol has lost loved ones to addiction and understands the pain caused by the failed War on Drugs. Instead of criminalizing drug use (which often ends up criminalizing people), she wants to invest in rehabilitation programs and social services that focus on addicts, recovery, and intervention.

Carol will fight to fund community-based organizations and resources to treat drug use as a public health issue, not a criminal issue.

“The War on Drugs is a war against communities.”
— Holly Near, American singer-songwriter, teacher, and activist.
