Accountability

Carol believes that no one is above the law and that our leaders must be held to the same standard of accountability that we as citizens are. Carol believes in order to have good government, we need to acknowledge that as a society our accountability systems have failed.

Carol believes that the issues that harm our communities today stems from leadership valuing profit over people. In office, Carol wants to make sure all policies enacted serve all people fairly and that all people are held to account for their actions, including herself.

“The collapse of good conscience and the absence of accountability and public scrutiny have led to crimes against humanity and violations of international law.”
— Nelson Mandela, Former President of South Africa
